Virtual Plant Selected in Scale-up.NRW Batch #3!

Virtual Plant, a dynamic startup from Düsseldorf, has proudly secured its position among the distinguished 13 companies selected for Scale-up.NRW Batch #3.

The announcement was made by Minister Mona Neubaur, highlighting the remarkable innovation prowess of the startup scene in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).

Virtual Plant creates digital twins for the process industry with software that combines IT, operational technology (OT) and engineering.

Scale-up.NRW, a state program, aims to propel high-growth startups into international markets through an intensive 18-month support program starting in mid-March. Minister Mona Neubaur expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "Our program empowers successful founders to unlock their full potential and elevate their business models to new heights."

Over 200 startups expressed interest in Scale-up.NRW, with 55 teams meeting the participation criteria. The rigorous selection process, focusing on scalability and team dynamics, culminated in the final selection of 13 startups for the third cohort. VP, having demonstrated excellence, is now set to embark on a transformative journey of growth and expansion, benefitting from mentoring, industry workshops, and peer-to-peer learning provided by Scale-up.NRW.

Minister Mona Neubaur expressed her anticipation for the future growth of the selected teams, emphasizing the success of Scale-up.NRW as a testament to the strength of the startup ecosystem in NRW. Esma Gulten, Co-Founder & CEO of Virtual Plant, commented on the notable achievement of being the only startup with a female entrepreneur among the selected 13 companies, stating, "One of the 13 most successful startups selected is VP and it is the only startup whose entrepreneur is a woman! We are proud of this great achievement."
