Following the successful first deployment at TGS’s Saturno facility, Virtual Plant is expanding to four additional facilities, marking an important milestone in Gizil’s international scaling journey.
Düsseldorf / Buenos Aires, September 2026 – Gizil is expanding its Virtual Plant deployment with Transportadora de Gas del Sur (TGS) from one to five facilities in Argentina.
The collaboration began with the implementation of Virtual Plant at TGS’s Saturno facility, where the platform was deployed in a real operating environment to create a trusted digital representation of existing industrial assets.
Following this first deployment, TGS and Gizil are now moving forward with the implementation of Virtual Plant across four additional facilities, taking the collaboration from a single-site project to a multi-site deployment.
From Validation to Scale
Scaling remains one of the major challenges in industrial digitalization.
Creating a digital representation of a single facility can demonstrate technical feasibility. The more important test is whether the same approach can be repeated across multiple operating sites while remaining practical, economically viable, and consistent.
The expansion with TGS represents an important proof point for Gizil’s approach.
Virtual Plant starts by establishing trusted information about existing physical assets, combining spatial reality with engineering and asset data to create a digital foundation that can subsequently support operational use cases.
This approach is particularly relevant for brownfield industrial environments, where facilities have evolved over many years and information is often distributed across drawings, documents, enterprise systems, and physical assets.
Supporting TGS’s Digital Transformation
The expansion also aligns with TGS’s broader digital transformation journey, where trusted data, operational technology, and new ways of working are increasingly contributing to more agile and efficient operations.
Moving from one facility to five provides an opportunity to establish a more repeatable approach to asset intelligence across multiple sites while progressively developing operational applications on top of the digital foundation.
For Gizil, the expansion represents an important milestone in its growth in Latin America and demonstrates the potential for Virtual Plant to move beyond individual Proof of Value projects toward broader enterprise adoption.
Building a Repeatable Model for Industrial Digitalization
Gizil’s international growth strategy is centered on a simple principle: validate in real industrial operations, demonstrate value, and scale with the customer.
The TGS journey is an important example of that model in practice.
What began with one facility is now expanding to five.
And, more importantly, it demonstrates that brownfield industrial digitalization does not have to remain confined to isolated pilots.
It can scale.
About Virtual Plant
Virtual Plant is Gizil’s Brownfield Asset Intelligence Platform, designed to make existing industrial assets digitally understandable, connected, and ready for increasingly data-driven and AI-enabled operations.
The platform brings together spatial reality, engineering information, asset data, and technical documentation in a unified operational environment, enabling industrial organizations to establish a trusted digital foundation for existing facilities.
